Suzanne Woods Fisher is the award-winning, bestselling author of fiction and non-fiction books about the Old Order Amish. Fisher’s interest in the Amish began with her grandfather, who was raised Plain. Join us for an evening in which she discusses why mainstream culture is so fascinated by the Amish.

Fisher lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the author of over 20 books, including Carol Award winner “The Search,” Christy Award finalist “The Waiting,” and “Amish Peace: Simple Wisdom for a Complicated World,” a finalist for the ECPA Book of the Year.

“Amish Wisdom” is a free app, available for iPhones, iPads and Androids, that delivers a daily proverb from the Penn Dutch tradition. Fisher also manages a blog called Amish Wisdom that provides readers with the latest books and information about the Plain people.
