Back in June we learned that the rustic Lafayette restaurant American Kitchen, featuring natural Americana comfort foods was planning on a July soft opening but according to their Facebook page the opening has been pushed back to August. Progress is being made on the inside as well as out with what looks to be an additional dining area in front which will be great. They have also posted a dinner and lunch menu in their window.
